Year 6 - WHC Virtual Tour

We have been unable to take any school trips this year due to the pandemic, but in Year 6 we recently had the opportunity to visit the town’s World Heritage Centre via a virtual tour!  We dressed up in Victorian-era clothing and were able to explore the World Heritage Centre, as well as a 300-year-old classroom.
 
Along the way there were also interactive quizzes to take part in, which tested our knowledge about Blaenavon’s history.
Although not quite the same as actually leaving the classroom, we were excited to explore the World Heritage Site, and learn about living and working in Blaenavon.
 
It was really cool to be able to look around the site from our classroom!  One of our favourite parts was the Victorian lesson with the scary teacher, it really felt like you were there back in the olden days.
