Summer 1 Update

Welcome to another episode of HeriCast! Today, some of our Year 6 Pupils will be looking back at the amazing things that have been happening in and around our school, throughout the Summer 1 term!

Today it is our privilege to welcome to the studio the Archdeacon of the Gwent Valleys and Director of Mission, The Venerable Stella Bailey.

Today we were delighted to welcome our local MP, the Rt Hon Nick Thomas-Symonds to BHVC. Nick joined us for collective worship, and had a tour of the school before recording this podcast.

Litter & Fly-tipping

Today we will be talking to Oliver James, who is the Litter & Fly-tipping Prevention Officer for Torfaen County Borough Council.  He has come in to deliver an educational workshop to Year 5 & 6.

Spring 2 Update

Welcome to another episode of HeriCast! Today, some of our Year 5 Digital Leaders will be looking back at the amazing things that have been happening in and around our school, throughout the Spring 2 term!

Today on the Heritelly Podcast we are joined by Sophie Johnson, who is the Community Wellbeing Development Officer for Blaenavon Town Council, and Liam Cowles who is a Councillor for Torfaen County Borough Council.

Today, BHVC had a visit from Mr South, who is the Education Liaison Officer for National Grid. He came in to deliver a workshop to Year 2 classes, and talk about the important job that electricity does.

We were recently joined by Mr Jeff Cuthbert, who is the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, and also CSO Williams, who is part of the Next Gen Youth Engagement Team.

Georgina and Mark from Blaenavon Community Council dropped in to talk to us about their role as Community Councillors, and the amazing work that they do in and around Blaenavon. Year 6 pupils were ready with the questions!
