Christian Values

Blaenavon Heritage is a voluntary controlled primary school. We are members of the Church of Wales and are part of the Monmouthshire Diocese.

We provide a stable, caring community based on Christian Values, where children learn to their full potential, know that they are loved, can feel confident and secure and where they can share in the adventure of growing up as part of our school family.

We follow a two year values programme; these are Christian values which Jesus taught us. We have regular collective worship in school and invite members of the community to lead worship and to share their knowledge with pupils.

We celebrate other faiths throughout the school, and this is enhanced further with our annual faith week. Each year group has a different faith and we invite speakers from these faiths into school.

We send out termly newsletters about our values, and give families activities to explore the value at home- please explore the links below for more information.

To promote our Christian Ethos, we have a Worship and Values Team, who promote the value throughout the school, lead worship and are excellent christian role models in school.
