All schools in Wales are now working from a new curriculum and one of the areas within this new curriculum is Health and Wellbeing. This area provides a holistic structure for understanding health and wellbeing in our school and develops the capacity of our learners to navigate life’s opportunities and challenges.

As a school, we appreciate and understand that for our children to thrive emotionally, we also need to support you.  As parents and carers, you play a fundamental role in supporting your child’s mental well-being. You serve as their first source of support in becoming independent and leading healthy and successful lives.

However, we know it isn’t quite as easy as it sounds! In my new role I will be looking to include families in fun, social activities as well as developing programmes to promote children’s development, learning and wellness. I can also support you with children’s attendance, accessing ‘Swap don’t Shop’,

food banks and much, much more.

There is also a new Facebook and Instagram feed that I will be using to communicate messages out to the community, so please make sure you are following!
