  • OUR TOPIC
This term the children have shown an interest in learning about the outdoors and planting. As a year group we decided that our topic for Summer term would be ‘Let it Grow’. Within this topic, we will be learning about life cycles, plants and the importance of healthy eating.
This children will have plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoor area where they will plant seeds and watch them as they grow. We will look at the needs of the plants in order to grow and compare this to other living things.
Slider
We will be watching our very own caterpillars as they transform into butterflies and the children will be creating leaflets, documentaries and letters all about butterflies.
Towards the end of the Summer term, we will be concentrating on the human body and how to stay healthy. We will explore  healthy eating, looking closely at the different food groups and the importance of exercise. Hopefully we will be harvesting the vegetables we have grown to create our own healthy meals and snacks.
