Christmas Fete - 16/12/2019

Christmas Fete

16/12/2019

Earlier this afternoon we held our annual Christmas Fete in the sports hall. This year we had lots of different activities organised for everyone to enjoy- including music, refreshments and of course Santa’s Grotto. At 2:30 the doors were opened, and everyone began to enter the hall ready for the fun to begin!

A range of stalls were set up around the hall, selling a variety of crafts – such as scented wax candles, bows and scrunchies, hand made picture frames, face painting, and cup cakes. There were also lots of raffle prizes to be won. Christmas songs were playing throughout the afternoon to help get everyone in the festive spirit!
Year 5 had a stall where they were selling a collection of hand made cards that they had produced as part of the Townscape Heritage Project, showing different shops and scenes from around the town and local area.

There were plenty of other fun activities to take part in, including picture decorating with coloured sand, hook a duck, name the bear, and there was also a fun area set up where you could throw snowballs at a teacher, and once again Mr Booth kindly volunteered to be the target!

We raised approximately £700 for our school fund which was fantastic!  Everyone thought that the fete was really fun and exciting and we are all looking forward to the next one. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!
