Summer Reading Challenge 2020

It’s almost the end of term but this year’s Summer Reading Challenge is just getting started! The theme is ‘Silly Squad’ and, this year, we are encouraging all of our younger readers to set up an account at https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/ (with parental help) to use the online materials.

Via the website, participants can record all the books they read over the summer, find new titles to try and have a go at a range of online games and downloadable activities that can be completed at home. As for what to read, as we come out of lockdown children can use our ‘Request and Collect’ service to pick up books from Torfaen Libraries (Request-and-Collect) and there are a range of ‘no queue’ titles now available to download and read via BorrowBox for all Torfaen Library members (It’s easy to join with our quick online registration form at https://tinyurl.com/jointorfaenlibrary ).

We are always amazed and delighted at how many pupils across Torfaen join us each year for the Summer Reading Challenge, please help us promote Silly Squad to your children this holiday!
