Diocesan Leavers’ Service - 18th June 2019

Diocesan Leavers’ Service
18th June 2019

Year 6 recently attended a special leavers’ service for all primary schools in the Cardiff Diocese, at St Marks Church in Newport. This is Chloe’s report of the event.

I really enjoyed the service it was a long journey but it was really fun. I enjoyed listening to the stories and it was fun singing the songs. The scenery was lovely and I loved the stained glass as it represented Jesus and his disciples at the ascension.
I really enjoyed the prayers that they got 2 children from each school to say. They all had different values that they represented. I appreciated the thought that they gave us a free necklaces at the end.

I thought the service was amazing because it made us think about the future and forget about the bad times in the past. I really loved the service and I hope the year 6 next year will enjoy it too.
